Every day is the same: for example, you get up, the same problem and care tasks, the same order — you do what you have to do. At first, you might put up a neutral to grind work — you will survive and continue on. Someday. Until one morning you stand in front of the mirror and wonder at yourself: who is this man, what is this boredom, where is the fire, where is the motivation? Does ordinary monotony consume? What happened to your life? Is that really all it would be?

No. Not so much, very much! If you do it for you, you too can find your way back to the path that brings harmony into your life.

Dangers of monotony

Monotony is dangerous: it kills the soul. A mental state such as a lack of external stimuli (a stimulus-poor environment) or low psychological activity due to simple repetitive tasks — is characterized by unanimity.

The dangers of monotony are multifaceted and greatly affect jobs and include privacy.

Under the influence of monotony

you get tired — it causes a degree of nervousness that makes it harder and harder to deal with
you become dissatisfied, monotonous, and uninterested — everything has become indifferent to you, you can’t be happy about anything, you’re already waiting for a weekend on Monday
your efficiency decreases — nothing succeeds the way you want, you fail more and more often
your alertness decreases — you do not react fast enough to the stimuli that hit you
you cannot pay enough attention and concentrate, which results in a decrease in your activity
your reaction time slows down (which can cause an accident)
you become unmotivated
causes constant frustration, which manifests itself in aggression over time

First of all: step back! Look where you are now, where the road will lead if you continue like this. Get out for a while, stop what you’re doing — and take time to recharge: go on vacation, have quality self-time, go on a trip.
Step out of your comfort zone! — try new experiences, discover new places, learn new things. Everything that serves your development will be motivated again.
Also learn how to increase the intensity of experiencing everyday, easily accessible stimuli — tell others about your experiences, experience every moment — and taste every event in your life as much as food.
Spend your free time with something that is refreshing and fun — be it hobbies, sports, cooking, crafts, yoga,
Talk about your feelings, your thoughts — it can already help to share them with someone. Of course, this is not just a complaint: try to find the why and how.
Find new challenges — try new forms of movement, play sports, develop training plans. Gradually raise that certain imaginary bar in front of you — if your goals are unrealistic, disappointment will end.
Change your habits — why do you have to go to work by car every blessed day? Why do you always have lunch in the same place? Try new places — new things!
Rearrange the apartment — relocate the furniture, buy new curtains, houseplants — the point is change.
Meet your friends more often! You can do this on weekdays as well: a half-hour conversation over a coffee also energizes you.
Switch to offline mode and finally take care of yourself. Enjoy the silence, meditate, and sort out your thoughts.
Organize a weekend program — work out every moment in detail. Where are you going to go, how, what are you going to do, what are you taking, etc.
Do not give up! Struggle every day to find the motivation that makes you happy in every area of your life.
You don’t have to be the same every day! Overcome the soul-destroying effects of monotony — and make your life exciting!
